Join us for a presentation by Dr. Chatchawin Assanasen MD with Alexion on Specialized Orphan Drugs to Treat Rare Diseases, followed by an education offering from Sonja Brune, MSN, APRN, CCNS, CHFN, AACC, FHFSA on Contemporary Management of Heart Failure for the Critical Care Nurse. Dr. Chatchawin is a board certified provider of pediatric hematology-oncology, associated professor of pediatrics at UT Health, and the interim holder of Children's Cancer Research Institute Distinguished Chair in pediatric oncology. Sonja is a provider with Baptist Health System's Disease Management Program for Heart Failure, and her presentation will focus on how heart failure management has been challenging to healthcare procedures despite advances in medicine.
